A spill, a slip, a hospital trip.

Physical Workplace Hazards

Physical hazards are the most common types of hazards and are usually present in all work environments.  They include unsafe working environments that can lead to injury, illness, or even death.  Physical hazards can easily be overlooked due to the fact that they aren't always recognized as a hazard.

Some examples of physical hazards include:

  • electrical hazards: frayed cords, missing ground pind, improper wiring
  • unguarded machines: workers have access to moving parts
  • constant loud noises
  • wet floors
  • cords running across the floor
